I am recovering from a heart attack right now, and need swift advice.
 
I accidentally left a roll of toilet paper in my ferret-proof room.  I use
it to clean up their misses.
 
Bilbo got at it, and I wasn't aware of it until I heard him choking!  He was
gasping for air, badly.  Not knowing what to do, I grabbed him.  Sadly, the
other ferret, Frodo, was still trying to wrestle with him.  I put Frodo
away, and was holding Bilbo, who was still gasping for air, making God-awful
noises!
 
I tried to get him to his water bottle, thinking maybe a dry wad of TP was
in his throat.  He was hacking up some nasty mucous, but breathing with a
wease, and eyes almost closed, in obvious discomfort and/or pain.
 
He wasnt taking the water, and looked as if he was going to fall asleep.
Not good I assumed, as if he was going lights out on me.  Of course I'm
thinking of what a bad owner I am all through it.  I pick him up, hanging
upside down, and start to gently shake, hoping to knock something loose.
He hacks up another wad of mucous, and opens his eyes a little.
 
Back to the water bottle I put him, and this time he begins drinking, though
lethargically.  He drinks for about 2 mins, and seems better, about 50% of
his normal self.
 
That is where I write you.  He is yawning again, weak, and tired, but aware.
He wanted to go right to sleep after the trauma, which I cant blame him.
 
What I need are some answers, ASAP of course.
 
1. Is he OK?
2. Will he be able to crap-out the wad of toilet paper in his stomach?
3. if not, what do I do?  All the emergency clinics within an hour had no
one who knows anything about ferrets.
