I also live in New Zealand, Auckland to be exact.  I have been unable to
find ferretone or linatone for my fuzzies also until today... Jansens Pet &
Aquatic Centre in Auckland has just started selling Linatone!!  And my
fuzzies love it (although sparingly of course).  They have also just got
in Ferret Shampoo, deodoriser and a whole bunch of other stuff - it is
definately worth a look!
 
I have one ferret who would absolutely not eat wheatgerm oil - hated it
and even he likes linatone!  It is great!  I have so far tried it on six
fuzzies and no complaints so far.
