Melissa,
While you are entitled to your opinion, how about you learning about a
situation before posting. You want to talk negativity... Please let me
take you all the way through my situation with Jen Morrison the "it who
shall not be named"! "It" presents itself as caring and compassionate
and all knowing... "It" through "its" ignorance killed not only my baby
Spirit but also my Nathan and Solan! You want compassion you came to the
wrong place!

>Put your heart into learning what you can about situations like Morrison
>and Petco, so instead of reacting with negativity and flames to the
>(potentially un/mis-informed) ideas of others, you can respond with
>intelligence and clarity."

Compassion? Where was her compassion when asked to return my sick baby
Spirit to me? Where was her compassion when she returned two previously
healthy ferrets, Shanti and Tolly, to me sick? Yes, let's talk
misinformed! She gave every excuse not to return any of my babies to me
for a week after I returned home. She then refused to return Spirit for
over three. Then it took a force of many (who shall later be named) to
get him back! Unfortuntately too late, the harm to his little body had
already been done!

>Personally I do feel a bit of compassion for Morrison. (even more for
>the others involved who suffered as a consequence of her actions) She
>will miss out on most of the joys that we owners probably take for
>granted every day.
>
>She might learn something from this, I hope so. But what's done is done
>and for the sake of all those that were injured mentally and physically
>at her hands we need to turn this incident into something positive."

Go ahead and feel sorry for "it" I have no compassion for "it" at all...
You may think you know the whole story but you DO NOT... and to presume
that you do is as wrong as "It" itself! She didn't learn anything from
the pain and suffering she imposed on 261 babies that were confiscated
from her in September. She has only gone on to "collect" more. I have
seen them first hand and now she is breeding! Is this compassion? I
don't think so. If you don't know the story of the 261 babies ask Judith
White of SOS, or Troy Lynn Eckart. Please do ask...

"Sometimes it may be hard to see, but she brought the ferret community
>more into the public eye, and while it was negative publicity, it is
>still publicity that we as loving owners can use to point out the
>long-standing issues that have a need for resolution."

Spirit's situation has not brought the ferret community into the public
eye. There has been no media attention here at all, negative or
positive. With the September incident the publicity was only local to
the community where it occured. Where is the publicity?

Maybe I am talking through the "flames" as you say... But I was there...
It was MY BABY that "it" killed! Yes, I am compassionate but not to "it
who must not be named"... and as far as I am concerned your compassion
for her is wasted! Also how do you know anything about what occurred in
Spirit's case as you have not been in contact with any of the people
directly involved in this situation.

In Truth and Honesty,
Lori, Spirit, Solan and Nathan (all at the Bridge because of "it's"=20
ignorance not compassion!), Shanti, Tolly and Darby
And on behalf of the other babies that have suffered and died at the
hands of "it who shall not be named"
