i found it very disturbing to read that people buy live goldfish as "fun
treats" for their fuzzers. it is completely unnecessary that a ferret is
fed live animals. i know that people feed their snakes rats, but at least
it's because that's the only thing that most snakes can live on. maybe the
black-footed ferret needs to hunt small fish and rodents in the wild, but
there is so many ferret foods and treats sold in every pet store for our
domesticated friends! if the only way a ferret could survive was by feeding
them live animals, then i wouldn't have so much a problem with it. but it
seems like you're making a game out of death. i'm sure the little fuzzers
wouldn't mind chasing some bobbing raisins or treats that were thrown in a
pool. leave the goldfish for people who want a simple pet, or for an animal
that requires them in their diet. it is definetly cruel to let a bunch of
goldfish, or any living being, suffer for mere amusement.
