Howdy.  Ask your vet about trying dexamethasone SP as a premed
alternative; it is an injectable (you can do it IM as a premed for ease
of use) medication that is often used either as a premed, or commonly
used as well in conjunction with epinephrine, etc as a treatment after
the fact for a vaccine reaction.
