The good news is that I saw my two sickest ferrets eating kibble and
drinking water on their own this morning. Hurrah! Maybe I can ease up a
little on all these hand feedings and droppers full of pedialite. I sure
hope whatever this illness is that it is short lived.

The weird news is that I took another sniff at the tails. This time, I
didn't just sniff in the tail area, I actually put the tail right up to my
nose and inhaled (yes, I'm weird enough to not only do it, but admit it).
Okay, it must be all this talk about flowers. It must be the power of
suggestion. It must be that I've been smelling ferrets for too long.
Whatever it is, that smell did smell an awful lot like flowers. What is
it? Honeysuckle? Gardenias? I'm not much of a flower person, so I can't
quite place it. Well, Oops! I guess the emperor does have clothes on this
time! I just wish my son were in town so I could see the look on his face
when I said, "Here. Smell this."
