Thank you to those that sent donations of all types. I'd like to explain a
bit about our situation. I've been on the FML for many years and whenever
we've needed help with rescues people come forward. When we organized the
1996 Fredonia rescue effort, there were so many that offered support in
donations, supplies, homes, and thoughts - it was amazing and heartwarming.

When I started FFS, I was determined to do it on my own, not because I'm
overly proud but because I believed that I was taking on a task that was
now my responsibility by my choice. I've always loved animals and ferrets
are especially dear to my heart so I was/am detemined to help in any way I
could/can. There are times that this task seems overwhelming and there are
a few people that see/hear what many do not. Because I have terminals,
there is intensive nursing involved. For the past 3 months we've had many
trials and it seemed as if they kept coming. During this time I became
extremely stressed. There are times in everyone's life when things go
wrong and you wonder when it will get better. The ferrets had to listen
to me rant, rave, and even cry and I was short with the bullies who spent
quite a bit of time in time-out and the group too became stressed. But
we are better now that I have given myself an attitude adjustment. :-) I
really did need a newer vehicle and this crisis was the only way it was
going to happen. I was rather dependant on Nancy to transport us to the
vets. We enjoyed our vet trips but that wasn't the issue. It goes back
to being my responsibility...

Nancy told me that there are people that want to help but if they don't
know how or what we need then they can't help. Financial donations go
directly to the medical fund for outstanding vet bills and for upcoming
ones and if anyone is considering sending a donation you are welcome to
send it directly to our vet with a note that it is to go on the Ferret
Family Services/Troy Lynn Eckart account. Please do let me know too so
that I can make sure our account gets credited correctly.

We are fine for supplies. Food is fine as I always make sure the little
ones have plenty though it is something we will always need. If you want
to send a food donation we use many different brands including Iams Kitten,
Pro Plan Kitten, Totally Ferret Senior, Marshall Farms, Purina Kitten Chow
and more.

Sandy asked if I was mad for her post as I didn't know about it
before-hand. No, she sent it because she cares. Sandy, Michael, and
Joseph are a very special family. They took in a group of 14 that needed
to be kept together. I have many friends that are angels and I treasure
every one of you.

Hugs to all. tle
