I would really like to thank everyone for the responses to Male or Female.
Your information and insight helped me so much! The females that I had
looked at were not babys persay, but rather anywhere from 6mo to 1 year old.
I assume they were either pre-owned and one girl I knew had been in the pet
shop for all of her nine months. So I could imagine I would be nippy too if
I had been caged up without a mommy or daddy!

One person suggested to me that I check out a ferret shelter? I do not know
of one here in Oklahoma city, but I will check and I will also call the
animal shelter as well and see if they can direct me. Otherwise I will keep
checking out the pet stores.

And thanks to Karen who suggested that the reason the ferret that bit me
might have done so because of perfume. I had never thought of that! I
beleive I was wearing perfume. And this girl did not nip, but bit so hard
as to draw blood and leave marks. (still got em) My female I had before did
the same thing. It was not a lick, lick, nip, but rather a bite, tug, and
bite down a little harder! Next time I will forget the channel no. 5 when
I am ferret shopping and see what happens.

Thanks everyone
