Melissa,

Maybe this will help. We've had two ferrets with adrenal tumors. One
responded to Mitotane, an oral chemotherapy drug. Our vet obtained this
from a local hospital. It shrank the tumor.

The other one had to go for surgery 2 years ago and has done well.
However, now he is starting to show signs of adrenal failure. We've just
started him on adrenal-support herbs: bee pollen, royal jelly, spirulina.
We got this info from a herbal book called: Herbal Pharmacist, by Linda
Page. We think it's helping him.

We have an old ferret that just got sick. None of the vets could figure
out what his problem was/is, so we resorted to herbs. We started him on
Valerian for pain relief and sedation. It helped almost immediately.

We also started him on Mullien for asthma-like problems, several vets
thought the problem could be allergy. He is breathing a lot easier and
looking and acting a lot better. Also we put humidifiers in the room the
little guys sleep in.

If vets can't help, go to a local herb store and maybe you can ease
Gypsy's symptoms a little, I've heard of some miraculous cures using
herbs.
