I read something about this a while ago but I can't remember...what does it
mean when your ferret is sick and he/she gnashes his teeth? I've never seen
a ferret do this before. It happened after I'd fed him some soft food,
nutri cal & Pedialyte stuff.

My other comment is more of a warning: If anyone out there in ferretland has
a sick ferret and they take it to the vet and the vet prescribes that nasty
tasting flagyl, only in a *suspension* b/c they can do that now, DECLINE.
Take the tablet in a capsule, I know it's difficult to get ferrets to
swallow capsules, but you can use a pillgun and with the tablet encased in a
capsule they can't taste it. The "new" flagyl in suspension masks the taste
somewhat but not enough. I took the suspension and it took me an hour and a
half to get Linus to eat it, and the first time he spat it right back up.
Linus has had diarrhea now for four days, he hasn't eaten in four days, but
I've kept him separated from Zooey & Elsa (which I don't like doing), and
they haven't gotten it, whatever it is. It isn't green, thankfully. He's
going to the vet again today, I know he's lost more weight & he looks
dehydrated, despite the Pedialyte stuff.
