!!! I NEED HELP !!!

I have just found out about a vote coming before the Clark County Board
of Commissioners. This vote would impose a license on ownership of ferrets.
The city passed a similar bill a few years ago. This bill requires all
people owning a ferret inside city limits to apply for a license. The
license costs $100.00 per year per animal. The ferret owner must submit
to a miniumum yearly "surprise" inspection along with any other inspection
deemed necessary by the Animal Control.

This county bill has been kept under wraps though the various steps (animal
advisory board, animal control review, bill-write, etc) until now when a
newspaper reporter called a local pet store to ask if this bill would hurt
their profits.

I need help. I am not as fluent in talking about ferret legislation as I am
in talking about ferrets. I need some advice and facts. Also, I need
people to come to the meeting. Lots of people. The county commissioners
will be meeting to vote on this bill tuesday AND MONDAY IS A HOLIDAY!
Because of the short notice, please call me for meeting information or if
you can help me gather facts. I can explain better when you call.

My name is Bonnie (or you can ask for Kim) and my number is
(702) 433-8874. <If you can't reach Bonnie or Kim, you may beep me
(Darren) at (702) 699-1104 and I will get a message to them for you.>

Thank you,

Bonnie
