to who ever lives in NY (and also to those who dont) hello!!!
 
i am new on this mailing-list, just because i am new in US.  i am an israely
who just came a few months ago to live and study in NY.  i used to have
ferrets back in israel, but i couldn't bring none of them here with me
because the rest of my famaly wouldn't agree to depart from any one of them.
so, now i am here alone, waiting to get 2 kits in about two months from now
(a freind's of mine ferret is due in about two weeks).
 
but for me, two months seem like a very long time to be without a ferret.
so, if anyone from around NYC is looking for a ferret-sitter, i would more
than want, love and enjoy taking care of his or her ferret for a few weeks
(as many or as few as you need).
 
i am a graduate student, which means that most of the day i stay at home (i
live alone in an appartment in manhattan) and work on my computer.  one
thing for sure, your ferret won't be lonely at all.  i am there for him
almost 24 hours a day (i say almost 'cause even i have to get some sleep
from time to time :-) ).  my ferrets just go loose around the house.  they
sleep on our beds and like to hide mostly inside the closets, so im used to
ferret that do not live in a cage, but, as i said, i would take care of any
ferret no matter even if he never go out of his cage or even if he just
sleep the whole day and dosn't like people to play with him.  anyway,
because i know all of ou love ferret, i think i you all understand me, and i
hope that who ever goes eway in the next few months, will think about me and
i'm sure your ferret will thank you for that.....
