A few weeks ago I posted that my fiance and I had a credit and ticket on SW
Air that were going to expire, and I wanted to auction them to benefit two
shelters. The first trip was "won" by Ronnie DiComo - she used her flight
to visit me! Ronnie and I ate our way through the weekend with Thai,
Mongolian, pancake house and bagel food. Don't forget the chocolate. The
$50.00 proceeds went to the Ferret Haven shelter in Virginia Beach, VA, Lisa
Leidig, director.

It looked like that was going to be that, with the rest of the funds going
to waste, but Julie DeVarney of New Hampshire and ROoF (Royal Order of
Ferrets), jumped in at the last moment. Julie's mom's boss bid $75.00 for a
trip to Florida. The check will be sent by Jules to 4 Li'l Paws Shelter in
Merrimack, NH, Dick and Joan Bossart, directors.

Thanks to Ronnie and Jules and Jules' cool mom and Jules' mom's boss.
There wasn't much time to "save" these tickets. Jules is the same Jules
who changed her vacation plans with her infant daughter and mom to drive
Gabrielle Ferret from Dick's shelter to PA for me to adopt (I'm in MD). I
didn't know Jules then - she volunteered from the AOL ferret board - but
she keeps on doing this stuff. Thanks, nice people.
