***Note from Muldoone***
Sworry dis be wate, da hooman-bean hads a hurting ear and be berry
dizziest and 'bout falls down.  Maybe she habs ear mitters.
 
Early morning at the Rainbow Bridge has Muldoone at his appointed spot
awaiting the arrival of a little girl fuzzy.
 
The music in the wind had begun to change and the sad sweet melody of the
Ferret Promise Song could be heard.  Muldoone felt the familiar tingling
in his whiskers and he knew another was coming.  The music of the wind
danced all around him, singing of welcome and loss, of love and longing.
It sang of the Great Promise that love was eternal, and it sang of the
pain of separation and the sorrow of humans.
 
The flash of light subsided and then Mully heard the unmistakable sounds
of ferrety feets coming across the planks of the Bridge; the Moonbeam
Express having delivered another ferret whose time on earth had been cut
short.
 
Mully steps forward to greet the new arrival.  "Welcomes to da Wainbow
Bwidge Snickers, I be Mr. Muldoone, officialist Bwidge Gweeter."
Muldoone leans forward offering his nose to the little girl ferret.
 
The new arrival sits down and looks all around at her new surroundings.
Wow she exclaims dis pwace be purrdy!!  I be feelings so gud, how dat
happen?" she wanted to know.
 
"It be da Boss, He fixes ebberting dat be wong witf us whens we gets
here, we be wike we be whens we be younger.  Goes ahead and twy to do
sumptin you not be doin for a while."
 
The little girl ferret immediately went into a wild weasel-war-dance and
made several leaps into the air.  When she came back down, having made a
perfect 4-point landing, she was grinning from ear to ear.
 
"Misser Muldoone, Misser Muldoone, I can do tings I not do for a wong
wong time and I feels gud, no achies or pains, no feeling sick" Snickers
the new arrival tells Mully.
 
Suddenly a dark cloud seemed to pass over the face of Snickers the
ferret, her eyes grew sad, and filled with tears, she dropped her head
low and began to cry.
 
"Snicks, what be da matters?" Muldoone asked her.
 
"I misses my familee alweady.  I hads a gud mamma and she take berry gud
cares of me.  The little girl ferret raised her head and looked over to
Muldoone and he could see the tears streaming down her face.
 
"Snicks, pwease don't cwy.  I takes you to da Refwecting Pond and you
can wook in on your mom and I shows you how to bisit her in her dweams
and gibs her whiskery kisses."
 
"Weally?  the little girl wanted to know, I can goes and bisit her and
gibs her kisses?"
 
"You betcha Muldoone told her.  Lets get you settled in and den I takes
you to da Refwecting Pond and shows you.  First, someone say you gots
odder fewet buddies here?" Muldoone asks her.
 
"Oh yes, Ossi, Isis, Mr Snowman, Murray, Rusty, Bubba, Tubby, Casper,
Trooper, Angel, Duncan, Woozel, Smokey, Britney and Sassy, dey all comes
here afore me and I would wike to sees dem."
 
"We gets you a hammy and get you settled and den we finds da odders
okay?" Mully asks her.
 
"Yes sir, Snickers tells him, I can't waits to see dem and tells dem how
much mom say she woves em and misses dem.
