I am not the person who posted previously about this but I do have the
butcher grind up whole chickens before I pick them up. There aren't very
many butcher shops who will do this but it's a great time saver and well
worth it if you can find one. I call in about 2 days before I need them
and ask to have them run through their finest grinder. Of course, they
know me now and I no longer have to ask. I use Bob Church's recipe as a
base and omit the honey. I add Deliver 2.0 in one batch for sick, older
and recovering ferrets who need the extra supplements and calories. I
leave it out of the 2nd batch and use the gravy for treats for the
healthy ones. I fill snack size baggies and freeze them, taking one or
more out every day. I have found that I rarely have to force feed sick
ferrets and they all seem to love it. Hope that helps.
