I give my ferrets hairball remedy about 3 times a week to prevent hairballs
from forming.  My house is very ferret proof also.  Anyway, what both of my
ferrets are experiencing is a sort of "hacking" a few times a day.  Is this
normal in ferrets?  They seem to groom themselves quite a bit.  They just
open their mouth....and "hack" out of nowhere.  It's wierd.  I really hope
this is normal.  It has become more frequent within the past year.  They
both are only 1 1/2 years old.  Can anyone give me some advice?  Do other
ferret owners out there see this also?
