Dr. Otten,

I read your post with utter amusement. This new book was NOT titled by the
author, rather by AAHA. It is the successor to Dr. Susan Brown's book and
is significantly updated in methodology of treatments, etc. Dr. Bruce
Williams, Dr. Charles Weiss and numerous other well known veterinarians
collaborated to ensure that the most timely instructional advice would be
available in this work.

I had the privilege of reading the galley sheets. Though the previous
books you mention are good -- this new book has numerous an added benefits
one being that veterinary technicians can also reference it and gain
greater understanding of the treatments and procedures which does help
greatly when they deal with the pets owner's. So sorry you feel the
reference material is not worth your $60.00

BTW- I advise any shelter person to obtain this book. Perhaps you will
know as much about the contents ( if not more) than your vet!
