A Promise for Sammy
 
Eight years ago I promised you,
I'd never let you go, until
the day It came to say good-bye,
oh please don't think it's all a lie.
 
I'll never say good-bye to you,
these words I say, you know they're true.
You'll always be the air I breathe,
the sun that shines, the clouds I see.
 
You'll be with me, and I with you,
we'll never apart that's true.
In close green lands, or distant ridge,
together always at the Bridge.
