My 10 month old ferret, Joey, just went in for a routine health check and
blood panel on Saturday. I just received a call back from my vet today
and was told that everything looked great except for his Creatinine and
BUN level were high. Creatinine was at 1.5. My vet wants to wait two
weeks before retesting to make sure the test was not false due to ferret
stress or lab error (she will be using a different lab for the recheck).
Joey is not showing an signs of being ill in anyway, but I'm not sure if
I can't wait two weeks for a re-check or if waiting will cause more
problems to Joey's kidneys. Any advise would be helpful.
