Ferret Math has struck my house. I just took in a 1 yr old cinnamon. She
is so sweet. I just love her to death. She has been an only ferret for
her whole life. I know she was well taken care of, but just not the way I
would care for her. She had lots & lots of toys, food, shampoo, ferretone
etc. She came with a 4 level cage (maybe it's considered 3 levels), but
if you include the tray at the bottom, it would be 4 levels. Now here is
where the differences lie. There was no covering on the grating. So, I
covered everything with carpeting including the ramps. She had no
blankies, just a ball that she slept in. I added a blanket and some
carpeting inside her ball. She now makes a little nest inside her ball
and I know she is more comfortable. She also dooks the whole time she is
out of her cage. She has started to teach my other 3 kids to dook. She is
just a wonderful ferret & I am sure glad I said "yes" when I was asked to
take her. She was going to go the the SPCA if I had said "no". They would
have put her down in a couple of days if she weren't adopted and what a
waste that would have been.

My other 3 girls are not liking the idea of a new kid, but all are
adjusting. My new fur kid is very muscular. I am wondering how she got
this way. I feed my 3 kids totally ferret and they get about 4 hours
exercise each day, but they don't have near the muscle mass as this new
one. She was an only ferret for her whole life and was lucky if she got
out of her cage each day. Does anyone know, are they just born with this
attribute or is it something they acquire. And, if acquired by doing
something special, can someone advise me what that something is. When I
hold her, she is so solid. I would like to build this in my other 3 if
that's possible.

Sorry for the long post, I just can't stop talking about my new kid, Glory.

(Phe, Mom she's a pain) (Digs, if she jumps on my back one more time, I'm
going to tear her head off) (Chewie, Mom, she's biting my ear, make her
stop it) (Glory, I'm not taking any crap off you guys -- all I want to do
is play)
