My first ferret, Casey is still trying to kill my new ferret, Misty. My
husband and I are convinced that it's more than just showing who's boss.
She loses all reason and tries desparately to get at the baby and when she
does she bites hard and it's really really hard to pry her jaw open. She
shakes the baby and makes her cry. Misty doesn't cry otherwise. My other
ferret, LouLou gets along great with Misty.

My question is, is it possible that Casey will feel differently when Misty
is full grown and can defend herself? I'm also wondering if baby ferrets
smell differently and if Casey can sense by smell that she should be
attacked because she can tell Misty from LouLou in an instant. Could Casey
actually kill the baby?

Has anyone else had a ferret that absolutely hates baby ferrets?

Casey has always been a biter with people but she's much better now.

Advice, please?

Adrienne
