With Mr. Killian's long history of harassing individuals on this forum and
poping up only when he has something negative to say or someone to attack,
why is that even allowed here?

[Moderator's note: Because opinions are useful, even if they are
occasionaly worded in a negative fashion. BIG]

Mr. Killian's knowledge about Washington state is interesting, but not
exactly accurate. The above statement from Ms. Gambriell was directed at
Best Little Rabbit, Rodent & Ferret House....not at WFR (It's Washington
Ferret Rescue now) . She is commenting because we do not accept calls from
people calling in who block *their* phone number from being read. (the
person just has to unblock their number for one call in order to get
through...the phone companies message states that ) It has nothing to do
with any of the Washington state shelters hiding our numbers, nor with
anyone not returning phone calls.

Both of our phone numbers are published in most of the ferret publications
and ferret books (including Liane's home phone number, which she gave to
Ms. Gambriell when she spoke with her only two weeks ago), so it's
unnecessary to hide the information. If anyone does an Internet search for
either WFA or Washington Ferret Association their web page can be found.
It has not yet been changed to WFR. Neither of our shelters are hiding
from anyone and it's unnecessary for Mr. Killian to dredge up something he
happened onto well over a year ago. Perhaps he is in constant contact
with the shelter in eastern Washington, but since he is not in regular
communication with any shelters in western Washington, it would be best
if he didn't try to speak for us.

>Washington state defintely has problems with "faked" Marshall Ferrets.

And what is this knowledge based on? Mr. Killian is now an expert on
Washington state?

(1)PETCO purchases their ferrets from Marshall Farms. Many, and more
likely most, of the other pet stores in Washington state purchase directly
from MF. If pet stores are buying "faked" MF ferrets, they are also being
supplied with faked MF "guarantees" and other MF paperwork. (I would think
Mr. Killian should contact MF if he has knowledge of fraud involving MF
ferrets.)

(2)Close to 70% of ferrets surrendered to us are purchased from PETCO. (A
question we ask on our surrender document.)

What are these "problems" with "faked MF ferrets" that Mr. Killian is
reporting and where is his information coming from? Neither WFR nor I are
aware of any problem with faked MF ferrets. Ferrets NW (Lipinski) is the
only other ferret shelter (of any size, who has been in existence for two
or more years) in western Washington. Perhaps Mr. Killian has talked to
the shelter in eastern Washington and intended to state that the problem
was there, rather than in the entire Washington state?

Both WFR and BLRRFH work closely together here in Washington state, we are
only about 30 miles from one another. We take ferrets in for the WFR and
they take in ferrets for us. Both organizations are helping to educate
the public and to find new homes for ferrets.

We currently have 9 healthy, friendly ferrets looking for new homes!
