I just checked out the Encyclopedia Britanica Online web site at
http://www.eb.com/
 
I looked up "Ferret" and it said that ferrets lived on a diet of milk and
meat.  Hmm.... I also looked up "Ferret" in the Webster's Dictionary sight
there and it said that ferrets are partially-domesticated.  You can sign up
there for a 7 day free trial and check it out yourself.  I plan to write
them and inquire about these entries.
