I'll bet you ARE having trouble clipping the nails on your sweetie. But
try what the real adept hands here on the list shared with me almost three
years ago. FERRETONE! That marvelous, oily miracle! A little bit on
their tummies, and they are distracted so you can quickly clip the little
nails.

Works great too at the vets for shots or thermometers in rather indelicate
places. At least for my guys, it has.

I'd bet that if you ferret doesn't like ferretone, you could try Ferretvite
or something "lickable" (i.e., a raisin, although tasty, would probably not
do it.....)

Say, has anyone else here have ferrets that can tell you the difference
between Ferretvite and Furovite? My store was out of Ferretvite and I
figured "It's not like they can read." (I've bluffed human kids this
way....LOL!) Well, I am now stuck with this tube of Furovite. Even HUBERT
won't eat it. That, in and of itself, tells me something. So, Rick or
anyone else in the SLC/Bountiful area of Utah need a tube of Furovite?
It's only been sniffed. They wouldn't lick the damn thing. I had to smear
it on my finger and then in the little mouths to make sure they TASTED it,
and then they acted like kids made to eat spinach (or insert despised food
item here......) I hate to just waste it if there is a baby who likes it.
