Well, here's the story so far... As of Monday, August 16th, the statewide
ban on ferrets in the state of utah has been lifted! :)
we are still attempting to lift local bans in 2 counties, but we're making
good progress! - today, One of our members went to a local fair, where the
Dept Of Wildlife was handing out flyers - one of which was an "anti-ferret"
flyer (The amendment had gone through, but it hadn't gotten down to all the
different offices yet) and so we're currently tryng to get them to STOP
distributing the flyers, as they no longer have any jurisdiction over ferrets..
well, it's slow going, but it's working.. Does anyone have any news from
Bill Phillips in California?

That's all for now, More to come!

p.s. - to all the folx recieving this on GEnie, especially Randy Sellers and
F.Hoffman - Thank you! (I'm back! - you can reach me here, and I WILL be
faxing the information on the Amendment to you by next week - when I recieve
 it.)
The U.F.A. has now held 2 official meetings, and has begun to show some signs
of resembling an actual organization! - we have had about 30 people attend, and
are still attempting to fin a permanent meeting site that will allow ferrets..
Bye for now!
