i did a google search, and found this site:

apparently, "a tao full of detours: the behavior of the domestic ferret"
was her Ph.D. thesis.  she has other ferret-related works listed on the
site above.
 
i however have not been able to find out where she went to school, or how
to get a copy of the tao.  i'd love to buy one. :)
