Hello everyone,

In response to my list of questions one of our fellow members here asked
if it was a good idea for prairie dogs and ferrets to live in the same
house. I thought I should address this question myself. I do not think
Prairie dogs and ferrets living under the same roof would be a problem
at all. First of all, we also have cats, dogs, hamsters, rats and a
hedgehog. The first two species would just love to prey on the other four
BUT this does not happen because of careful cage separation and separate
playtimes and play areas. I know of several people that house PDs & Ferts
in the same house, some in larger numbers, and have had no troubel at all.
Careful consideration of cage placement and playtime areas is necessary,
but not at all impossible. This wasn't even a worry for me and still
isn't. But I can see where the concern would come in, so I thought I
would answer the question.

As for the license plate, I believe there was a limit of five spaces,
correct? How about Ferty or Fert1. Good luck on finding a suitable
plate name!

P.S. Thanks to all who answered my questions. I now have yet ANOTHER
stack of papers to file away into my brain, lol. I love it.
