To Fran Schreiber: Well, I don't know what part of NJ you're in, or how far
you're willing to travel to a vet. But if you're in or willing to come to
South Jersey: I believe Dr. Kawasaki's practice is in Cherry Hill, I've
never been to him but hear his name a lot as a ferret expert, in fact he
wrote a column for Modern Ferret, issue 2. I've only had ferrets about a
year now, and only one vet trip for routine stuff, I went to a Dr. Bell,
which I think is in Evesham or Mt. Laurel or something. I don't know if
they are experts on ferrets, but they certainly did not seem clueless, had
all the right v vaccines, etc...I've been taking my canine friends there for
years and have always been happy. Wherever you are, those two are probably
about the same drive, so take your pick...hope this is a help...also, check
the STAR Ferret database, I should have thought of that first, I think
several vets are listed that are ferret-capable.
