Hello Tim;
From what I can make of your post you want to know if it is safe to use
blood from one ferret to another correct?  The answer would be yes.
According to Dr. James Fox ferrets do not seem to have different blood
types.  The black tarry stools would seem to indicate internal bleeding
though and if not corrected could be dangerous.  Good luck and keep us
posted.
