I'm beside myself since learning this morning from a co-worker that her
and her boyfriend's ferret died this weekend when she got into the dryer
and he turned it on without knowing she was in there.

How on earth do we get the word out to people to NEVER put clothes in a
washer or dryer or turn on a washer, dryer, dishwasher, oven, microwave,
or other appliance without making absolutely sure their ferrets are not in
there?

I feel so horrible. I honestly think I feel sorrier for the ferret for
having to die that way than I do for the people who lost her, although I
feel pretty bad for them, too. I wish I could have saved her.
