Hi all.

My new kitty Mabel is getting better with the fuzzies. At least now she
just stands still, and doesn't hiss or growl.

Penny (my lady fert, who is _not_ the dominent fuzzy in the house), tried to
nip Mabel's ear yesterday. Mabel was _not_ happy and she ran right up me
and stood on my head! (This kitty climbs me like a tree, ouchie!)

Anyway, I've found that keeping Mabel on my shoulder while I play with the
ferrets, and encouraging her to join in (by plaing games she likes, like
"catch the string") seems to be helping her get used to the fuzzies. I even
put her in the cage (while the fuzzies were outside it) for a few minutes so
she would get used to the smell.

Anyway, I know other people have introduced their ferrets to kittens and
vice versa. How long does it typically take? (I know it is different for
everyone). The fuzzies are young (6 months), but _huge_, and I think she's
just intimidated by them right now.

-- OFF TOPIC --

Is there a cat/kitten mailing list out there? Also, anyone else have/had a
kitten that will _not_ stop whining? My kitty meows so much (for attention,
apparently) that she is hoarse by bed time. If I am in the room, and not
cuddling/scratching/playing with her, she _whines_. Of course, this makes
eating, showering, and using the facilities kinda difficult (and nerve
racking!).

Oh, she's _really_ quiet when she is watching the fuzzies :-) (but she
whined before I even brought her home to my place)

Any suggestions? I love her to death, and I think she'll be a great friend
to the fuzzies.

Pete
