Sorry that I haven't posted the update about Emily's strange skin breakout.
With Rowdy's passing, kinda put her in the background for a couple of days.
She's the one that had the red rash like with little scabs on her mouth,
started around her eye. Took her to Doctor Greg and he gave her a
cortisone shot and some clavamox (she loved that, yeah right!). She's
doing much better and it seems to be gone. He said it could be one of
three things and we treated for the least. Hope that is it, if not next
step would be to take a biopsy. We'll keep an eye on her, of course.

New member of the family (yes ferret math hit and early birthday present)
I didn't resist long enough :o) Got one of the kits from Amy Flemming, a
Chocolate Point. Think we're gonna name him Oliver after his father
Rolliver Beethoven, will shorten it to Ollie and whatever his personality
dictates after that. So far he's peed on both of us last night (boy did I
smell good) and bit both of us this morning. It's a good thing he's soooo
cute! With that roundy face he looks like a Panda Bear. It's been two
years since we've had a kit around. Get out the "instruction manual",
remember, remember, remember... We're trying to come up with a good middle
name, any ideas to go with Oliver "something" Beethoven?

Tails, yes I have sniffed (not all 11 mind you) and Daisy did smell kinda
floral like the old car "skunk" air fresheners you hang on the rear-view
mirror. Hope I'm not revealing my age here... Oh yeah, and the new kit has
a smell all of his own since he's whole :o) But I kinda like it, we'll see
as he get older.

Thank you all for your kind e-mails and cards about my Rowdy. It sure
helps when you're hurting sooo bad. I still have that little hole that no
one can fill. But now I have something to keep my mind occupied, the new
little one and we also took in a rescue (DEW) that had adrenal surgery.
She's going to be a little work to integrate since she spent the last three
years of her life in a cage. She's OK with us, and OK with the cats and
the dog now, but not with other ferrets yet. Chico-the-Meany wants to hunt
her down and beat her up. She wants to nip everyone else that comes near
her out of fear for protection... And throw a kit in on top of that, maybe
another one in a few weeks and, Oh, are we going to have fun or what?
Someone please tell me how do you loose a ferret and not get another
one/more to take its place? HELP ME PLEASE!
