I know that at times in humans a reaction will leave a person feeling
like not eating.  That can be from inflammation, from dehydration,
from secondary infection, from nasal inflammation, etc.  Still, this
was days ago.
 
Not eating will reduce blood glucose (and will mess up liver test
results, BTW).
 
Sometimes after a particularly bad reaction we try some antibiotics.
 
Have you tried mixing the baby food with heated water which brings it
up to about ferret body temp -- easier to eat, better for rehydration.
Does the ferret pick up after sub-cu fluids?
 
Are you giving oral sugars or giving Prednisolone or both?
 
DO report that batch of vaccine.  See the crit refs in

There are lower reaction rates with Merial Purevax CD vax for ferrets.
 
Which meds were used?  Epi?  Steroids?  Rehydration?  Antihistamines?
Oxygen chamber?  Which meds were used before the vaccines?

Colds: ferrets do not get colds.  They get influenza, they get bacterial
sinus infections (which technically aren't colds as per pathologist, Dr.
Bruce Williams since colds are from rhinoviruses), they get pneumonia,
etc.
 
It is important to have an exam and if there is any question at all
about lung health to do a chest x-ray.  Antibiotics are needed for
bacterial things and steam helps with any type of congestion.
 
There is NO substitute for vet care.  Anyone who does not have a vet
can go to the critical refs at http://www.ferretcongress.org
and find the URLs for vet listings as places to start.  (They all vary.)

Steve's grandma grew up in a house with a bullet riddled door in Utah
where they terrorized the area's towns.  Naw, no ferrets would be bad
like that! :-)   (Still, that was a cute joke you made!)
