I stopped up at Rosehill Petco in Kirkland Washington yesterday. They had
approx. 8 ferrets ranging from 6 weeks to about 18 weeks. Two of the
older ones were skin and bones, looked very dehidrated. While I was
watching them one got up really weakish and went to the corner and pooped
a small little wet poop and then a string of yellowish mucus followed him
or her all the way across the cage. His or her little rectum was out
about a quarter of an inch and red as could be.

I went to the manager and stated that I had been there before and offered
my help and the help of the shelter in Bellevue when they had sick
ferrets. He said he removed the sick ferret... I let him know that he
must have moved the wrong one cause he had a few others that were very
sick.

I called the shelter and let them know what was going on and they called
Petco. But we have to my knowledge heard nothing. I will bet ya they
have a few dead ferrets soon.

I would have brought them home if they would have let me but I have 13
here already.

I sure wish someone would get Petco to let the shelters help out.
Sunny
