Rumor about dmk farm? usda and puppy mills?

I heard what I hope is a rumor. Does anyone know if there is any truth
that the kids (no McK himself), kept 100 ferrets in hopes of breeding?
Someone mentioned this to me and I hope it is not true.

Also, was the USDA involved with DMK at all? I was curious as there is
a petition now online about puppy mills and it sounds much like the
conditions those poor ferrets were in except this is for puppies. See
