I don't know what your breezeway is like or how warm/cold it is during
different times of the year but I do have some concerns with the laundry
room.

If you do use the laundry room you need to be very sure that the ferrets
can't get under, into, or near any moving parts of the washer/dryer. Also
be sure to put in a solid (stiff) exhaust from the dryer to the outside.
My fuzzies both figured out VERY quickly that the airhose we originally had
was not only fun to jump and climb on but that it WENT SOMEWHERE!!! and
they worked their hardest to pull it out of the wall and try to get out.
Since putting in the metal exhaust pipe that has ended that free for all.
Please remember to carefully check the washer and dryer each time for
fuzzies. Ours think that both are wonderful for jumping into, doesn't
matter if the clothes are wet, dry, cold or warm (although they have a
preference for warm). My one ferret is also a cloth chewer to some extent
and we have lost toes out of a few socks into her stomach which we try very
hard to prevent.

With the breezeway my concern, other than checking for escape avenues,
would be how hot it might get in the summer months. Ferrets have a heat
tolerance up to about 80 degrees.

Good Luck with your move!
