Bad food makes smelly poop; also wet cat food.  When my ferret was a baby,
the woman at the pet store said to give him 8 in 1 Ultimate and high
quality canned kitten food.  When I stopped the kitten food, there was a
lot less poop and it smelled less.  Also I heard of a friend of a friend
who was always complaining about their ferret smelling bad, poop and body,
and I saw that they were feeding him really crappy food.
 
Now I feed Rocky Totally Ferret and his poop doesn't smell at all, nor
does he smell, except for sometimes a bit like flowers--a nice smell!
