Thanks again, BIG for letting me ask for more help!

While my puppy, now 13 weeks old has had a few good days (only an
accident or two per day), for the most part, I'm still having no luck.
Very rarely does he let me know when he wants to go out. And he'll pee
large amounts 3 times in 20 minutes quite regularly. At 13 weeks, I
shouldn't have to let him out that often. And even when he is let out
and pees and poops, he'll still come in and do one or both on the tile
within 5 minutes of coming back in. I praise him to high heaven every
time he does his business outside, even if he stops and squats 10 times
in one trip outdoors.

I've stopped restricted his water, but he still drinks quite excessively,
easily 3-4 times what our full grown dog does that is twice his size. He
still has no problem peeing in his cage, although he's only pooped in it
twice since I put a barrier in there so he has less room about 2 weeks
ago. Seems to enjoy laying in it, as a matter of fact. Will even go in
there just to pee on occassion. A week of watching him constantly led to
me not getting anything done, me getting the evil eye from both dogs, and
me letting him out every 15-20 minutes cuz he MIGHT be trying to tell me
he wanted to go outside. Ireally don't think this dog is that dense. I
was reading something about house training, and it mentioned that Mom
usually teaches pups early on to leave the "den" and do business
elsewhere. This pup lost his mom at 2 daysold. While that may have
something to do with it, I still think he should be catching on by now.

He goes back to vet on Friday. What sorts of questions do I need to be
asking the vet? Should he be running more tests? AmI just impatient?

So far, he ran a urinalysis that came up negative. I can't help but
think there is something wrong with him though. With as often as he
pees 3 or more times in 20 minutes, and at this point he should be
holding it at LEAST 2 hours, according to the house training books
I've been reading.

Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
