When I had a shelter, I once had a little girl come in whose main diet
consisted of smelt (a small fish) and Tender Vittles.  You should have
seen her tear into those little fishes!  Rather a nice mess she made.
She seemed quite healthy and had a lovely coat.
 
Fortunately, it wasn't too difficult to get her over to a regular ferret
food!
