Sorry to post twice, but I forgot one thing: to the person with the
toothless ferret with the sore lip, she may be biting it when she eats.  My
uncle's dog got kicked by a cow, and broke off one of her fangs on the
bottom.  She kept biting the lip on that side when she ate for a while, but
apparently worked it out on her own.  Now she sticks her tongue out on that
side to hold the lip away.  Sounds odd, and looks even odder.  But maybe
your ferret will be able to figure something out, if that's what is
happening.  Good luck to your ferret!
