Pester-doodle and Tankerbel have been in the cage 24x7 for a couple
weeks and they needed some out time for sure. They have a very large
cage with lots of room, never crowded in there for sure but they still
need out time. The 5 full floors and balcony offers only so much romp
room and a ferret needs more.

So I took the beasts out to let them run around in my study as I typed
on the computer.

It didn't take Peekaboo a minute to find the old battery in the box the
new UPS battery came in and she had the old battery out of the box to
charge her cell phone. Dumb ferret! I showed her how to connect it to
the wall outlet!

Pester had all the seat covers off and on the floor, the hanging fly
swatters on the floor and the back scratcher too. Guess she wanted to
scratch her back.

Peekaboo kept coming back to climb my leg and sit on my lap. That
really makes me feel good when she does that where Byte-me used to do
that too. That tells me she feels very comfortable with me and wants my
attention. Kodo used to lay on my belly when I was lying on the couch
watching TV, he would go to sleep there all curled up on my chest. So I
rub Peekaboo under her chin and behind the ears, scratch her head and
all. She will put her head back with eyes closed just absorbing the
attention then I put her down where she gets into the trash can and
dumps it all out in rebellion of being put back on the floor.

In the mean time Pester is racing around with bottle brush tail dancing
on her claw tips waiting to pounce on Peekaboo like an extremely
amorous male. Peekaboo puts up with it all but really isn't all that
excited about it.

I can't let them loose in the house where they both tunnel in the
furniture. That wrecks the furniture but worse if one was in there and
someone sat on them it would be Squisaboo and Pesqushter gutz. Not into
that.

They like turkey though. But not the stuffing. I stuff the turkey with
Franco American Spaghetti, looks real when you carve the bird open.
These guys like the tomato sauce ok too but not the jalape–o peppers,
that gives them flaming gas.

Peekaboo just won't leave me alone for an instant. I don't mind that
at all. It lets me know she feels safe with me and I am just another
ferret to her. She is blind and deaf so she really doesn't know.

So on in the nation of never ending job loss and financial ruin.
Ferrets are lucky, they just don't know what a mess we are in. Obama
needs a ferret in the white house! We never have had a presidential
ferret! Need one!
