Franklin Park Zoo

Hello.  I went to the Franklin Park Zoo (Boston) yesterday.  I was happy
to see that in their children's zoo section they had a pet area with
ferrts.  However, in the food bowl, there was ferret/cat food looking
stuff and apple, bananna, and lettuce.  I know ferrets have a sweet
tooth, but will they actually eat lettuce?
