Thank you, Dr.  Williams, for your suggestions regarding Espie.  I read them
to my vet on the phone today and he agreed; he checked her urine twice on
Tuesday but found no bacteria or blood cells.  So we decided to check her
again a few days after she finishes her antibiotics (which will be
tomorrow).  As soon as he finds something, we'll attempt to do a urine
culture as you recommended.
