My Marked DEW Al is deaf - had AWFUL ear mites and has them constantly.  I
always wonder about the irony of the amount of time I spend medicating and
cleaning ears that don't even work!  In any case, I've posted this before.
I exercised my Marshall guarantee on Al.  Marshall gave me a credit of 1/2
of what I paid for AL at the Pet Store where I bought him.  I used it for
ferrettone, food and toys which I donated to NY/NJ Metropolitan Ferret
Welfare Society.  So in actuality, the credit went back to help shelter
ferrets.  Marshall did give me the option of returning Al for a brandy new
ferret --- NO WAY.  I love the little guy, mites and all!
 
On the subject of screeching --- Al is a loud one.  He has the habit of
running under foot and getting there very quickly!  So I am constantly
catching him between my feet, even when doing the shuffle step.  When he
is at the Pet sitters (Camp Metro Ferret), with 10-12 other ferrets - I
get reports about him being a real screamer.  When he gets home, he yells
allot during wrestling with his buddy Matt but after a few days of being
home he back to silent wrestling.
 
We are definitely going to have to get one of those floor hammocks.
Sounds like fun!
