First off, I want to thank everyone that send cards and letters about The
Amazing Slim Shady's passing. i haven't answered everyone personally,
but I will soon.
You can see Slim in the May/June issue of Ferrets magazine, and a memorial
to him in the next issue. Thank you Marylou and Melissa for all you've
done, to let everyone know the Amazing Slim.
I also want to thank every one that sent donations, YN upc's, I will also
thank everyone personally. I also received 100 lbs of food from the
Ferret Store, I'm not sure who had it sent but thank you so much.
I also received a card today, a mothers day card, from the furkids. i can
not tell you how much that made my day. to the secret sender thank you.
Well ferrets are still comming in like crazy, at least 5 a week, sometimes
up to 10. We have done just a bout a surgery a week, but everyone is
doing well. i just got in a pair of 12 week old kits, both are wonderful
and will be ready for adoption next week.
Well I thought I had found the perfect house to lease, I paid my money,
went to start moving in and was told I was scammed, the house I leased
was not owned by the broker that rented it to me, he has done this before
on the same house. After an arguement I got back my $1100 rent and
deposit. The problem is I gave my 30 day notice where I'm at now, and I
have no where to go! I asked for another 30 days and I hope to hear on
Monday that I can stay til the end of June. I'm looking everyday for a
new place, please keep your fingers crossed for us. I do have a place I
can rent (not a good place though) but I would have to get rid of one
dog and the coatis, but at least we will have somewhere temporarly.
Also there are new pics on my website, Thanks Brenda!, you can see the
stuck up little girl, Annie Bones, who now is Annie Fatty. she must be
binge eating, overcomming a traumatic childhood! we also have Pez a 5
month old MF ferret with full blown adrenal, dbl cataracs, we will be
doing surgery but my vet feels that this little sweetheart will not live
very long. He is genetcially a mess.
We also just did a dbl adrenal sx on a 10 month old little girl from
California. she is a doll, talking all the time, her name is Chatterbox,
she will be looking for a new home in 2 weeks. We have many looking for
great homes, foster homes, etc. We are not overcrouded now but, I want
it to stay that way. i have a few pairs that need experienced ferret
owners, they are a bit nippy. Mona from pomona is back and has a friend
Jillybean, a wonderful pair needing a home.
sorry so long but I just don't have much free time latly with house
hunting and ferret tending.
Again thanks to all of you, who keep me going when I'm feeling overwhelmed
with the world. You are the best ferret family anyone could hope for.
