Greetings all! My wife and I took the kids to the OFA's Ferret Fun
Match in Portland yesterday. Unfortunately, I had to be back to work at the
hospital in Eugene early and had to leave after only a little while. I did
find out someting about our two little girls. As smart as they seem at home,
they are not good in public. We entered them in the tube race at the match,
and both did miserably. Sure we still love them, but I think that for the
trouble we took to introduce them to a new thing, they could have at least
made a showing. Rikki completely ignored her favorite Snoopy squeak toy and
refused to even go into the tube. Gabby went in, but refused to go thru fast
enough to even be timed. Oh well, so they aren't atheletes!
It wa nice to meet Melanee (sp?) Ellis, a fellow FMLer that I have even
communicated with previously. It was also really neat to see all of the
different looking ferrets as well as the ferret cages that people had. I
never realized how many albinos were around! Too bad we had to leave so
soon!
I bored everyone enough for today,
Until later,
Matt, Juliane, Rikki, and Gabby
