Dear Fellow Ferret Owners:

Because of the timeframe and the importance of media coverage at this time,
it is critical that every possibly means is used to get the media informed
of Kodo's case.

Anyone who knows the Massachusetts story, knows that in order for us to get
the media involved, we hired a media consultant. Of course, they do not
come cheap. The Michigan people have their hands full with fundraising just
on legal fees and they can not afford this added cost.

After conferring with Bob Jacobs, we asked him if it would be okay if
Massachusetts Ferret Friends (MaFF) sponsored the media consultant. Mr.
Jacobs response back was, "yes, please, you would be angels".

What MaFF is proposing to do is collect funds to pay the media consultant.
So far, we are looking to raise at least $800.00 (more than half is already
pledged). The more we raise, the more services we can get. $800.00 will
get us the following:

National Media Coverage via the wire service. Already, Mr. Jacobs is working
on his press release.

Anything MaFF collects above that amount, will go into organizing a media
event in Michigan that will hopefully be televised.

If anyone would like to give to this media fund, please contact Ronnie
DiComo via e-mail at: <[log in to unmask]>. Ronnie will e-mail you back with
instructions on where to send the checks and how to make them out.

Hiring Bud Jackson isn't meant in any way to take away from the court case;
hopefully this will call everyone's attention to Kodo's plight.

I personally think media coverage is critical for Kodo. We need to let
EVERYONE in Michigan and across the U.S. know exactly what the state of
Michigan is doing. People who never even heard of ferrets should be
outraged that their elected officials are planning on murdering an innocent
animal. We will make Kodo a household word. But, we need media coverage to
make that happen. We here in Mass. know that Bud Jackson is the person to
do it.

Please help! Thanks in advance--
