Greetings:
First of all I want to thank Kelleen for the faq update. Upon seeing it I
made another attempt at integration of our older female (and 1st) with our
other male and female Even though I wasn' t successful... it was a good
update.

I shouldn't have tried it., though She's refused another ferret since she
was 2 years old. It was selfish of me to try. It's just that it would be
easier not having three zones in the house and having to find and put back
one set to give run around time to another!!

I put her down in the kitchen where the bags, tubes and things they like to
trash are. She ignored the two at first and just played with things. I
held on to the younger female (Baby) not taking any chances. Slinky went
into the cat carrier as if to sleep. She even covered herself up! I closed
the door and the other two came to poke their noses through the cage. I
then opened it and it looked like there might be a ray of hope. I didn't
see any tails bottling, didn't hear the sound of "I'm upset...what's going
on!!!" But before I could react one jumped the other (Baby was still in my
arms, but I was sitting on the kitchen floor.) and they were off to the
races. In the process...I got bitten to the bone and it looks like more
than once. Poor Slinky...she was biting me and not Baby. Well at least I
saved Baby from injury. I was able to quickly grab Slinker during a lull
and wisk her away. Her ear was torn and she has a cut behind her ear as
well. Baby looks unscathed. All the while...Willie didn' t do much of
anything but watch. He's so laid back. Now I bet he'd accept Slink but
Baby wouldn't. She doesn' t want any competition for Willie's attention.

I will try to remember NOT to try and integrate Slinky again. But she
really seems interested in our new big Siamese (used to be butterscotch!) I
won't try and integrate her with a female again though.

I value all the info I get from the FML. I just printed out the bathing
technique for integration that I might try with the two boys and Baby and
Willie.

I'm sorry to hear about the troubles some posters are having. I've enjoyed
Kelleen's posts in the past and now because of someone's insensitivity...we
the FML lose out. Hopefully...after a period of time she'll try us again.
