I'm concerned about my fuzzbean Scooter Pie, and am hoping tht one of you
can offer me advice, please. I BELIEVE that he is doing his spring shed
(although it's hard to tell), but he's doing it in a funny way. Along both
of his sides, almost all of his long guard hairs have come out. He st still
has the long guard hair across his back, and his tummy is normal, too. The
undercoat is still there, and is as fuzzy and white and soft, as ever. All
of his fur is in good condition and shiny, and his skin underneath does not
seem irritated, either. He is as spunky and happy as ever, doesn't seem to
have lost weight (although the loss of the dark guard hairs kind of creates
that illusion), and is in good health.

Is this just an unusual shedding pattern, or something? He is just turning
one year old about now, so this is his first spring shed. Paddington Bear
(who is older) looks the same (as cute!) as ever, and is also in good
health. Thank you!
