There are such things as healthy ferrets!
 
Just so you all know, I do have 2 perfectly hyper, lovely, loving, and
healthy (!!) ferrets.  They, along with Canela and various other 4-legged
animals who think they're better than human, are the joys of my life.
 
Waldo and Joanna are only slightly miffed that I spend so much time with
Canela, who we're pretty sure does, in fact, have distemper.  The rest of
the time, they spend looking for their littlest clan member - still.  They
only knew her for a week, and haven't seen her for 3 weeks at least, but
still head straight for Canela's favorite hiding place the moment they're
out of the cage - a place they never found interesting in the slightest
before Canela pounced on the scene.  And they don't mess with the toys she
still has stashed there.
 
There are not only such things as healthy ferrets, but sensitive, loyal, and
knowing ones.
 
Hold your children extra close for an extra moment tonight.
